JAY JASTI

Student at Covenant Seminary

Howdy!

I am Jay. I hail from India. 3 years ago, I experienced the love of Jesus on a College Campus, and it changed my life.

Hindu Beginnings

I was a Hindu who came to the US to study in college. As a Hindu, I diligently adhered to the path’s teachings by living an austere life, observing rituals, and even residing in a temple with monks. I strove to fulfill the demands of Hindu law, but soon realized I could not attain “perfection” due to my human flaws.

When I came to America, I had not heard the Gospel before. Like most international students, I would not have heard it during my stay here as 70% of them do not enter an American home, and 40% of them do not have an American friend.

God’s Plans

Christians on campus loved me and befriended me. They walked with me and shared the Gospel with me. I experienced the love of God through Christ’s death on the cross for my sins. God saved me from the yoke of slavery to Hindu Law and gave me freedom from sin and death. Soon after, God saved my mother and my sister through me.

In my senior year at Baylor, God called me to share the Gospel with international students at Texas A&M through Reformed University Fellowship-International (RUF-I). God has instilled in me a strong desire to love others as myself and has equipped me to serve this ministry through my unique life experiences, language skills, and deep commitment to love the nations and share the good news. As an international student myself, I understand the challenges of living abroad, navigating a new culture, and speaking a different language. Above all, God has gifted me with unique access into the lives of international students through my background and culture. After successfully completing the internship, God has now called me to attend seminary to prepare for full-time Ministry. As I attend seminary beginning in the Spring of 2026, I hope to shepherd a Church as a Pastor, serve in Missions, or serve in Campus Ministry.

I cannot do this alone. I need fellow believers to stand with me in prayer and support my journey. My father has refused to support me due to our differences in worldviews. So I ask you to prayerfully consider partnering with me. I humbly ask for your financial support to reach my goal of $20,000 required to attend seminary in person in the Fall. This ministry requires resources to be effective, and your contribution will make a significant impact toward aiding serve God. As a steward of your money, I will be sending you monthly stewardship reports and quarterly Ministry Reports, updating you on God’s in me and through me in Reaching the Nations. Whether it's a one-time gift or ongoing support, your generosity will help me continue this important work to fulfill the Great Commission to reach the Unreached, the Nations.
